Respect others, love yourself.

This is so true.
No matter what you do, or how you look, or what you say, you just cannot please everyone.
So here is the solution, please yourself!
It's your life, so why do you live it only trying to please others? I just don't get it.
I understand there is always a wanting to please certain people because you care for them, but that doesn't mean totally putting yourself on the back burner.
I believe that striving for your own happiness is the meaning of your life.
And I'm not saying it's not okay to put people ahead of you sometimes, but all the time only makes you unhappy.
You start to let your dreams slip away, and you feel lost.
I personally know it's hard to always want to be yourself when people constantly put you down.
With the way I look, people say rude remarks and give me dirty looks all the time.
I don't believe that's right, I think that people need to understand that everyone is different, so of course people will like things you may not like youself, that doesn't mean you need to be rude to them, you just need to accept that they are different and respect their differences.
If we could all show eachother some respect, things would be so much different.

  1. Amen to that. <3 But I guess just as it is not always possible to please others, it's not always easy to please yourself as well. It's a question of self-confidence and possibility and, even if we don't like it, social factors (job etc.). Quite a fine line there.

  2. All this is true, however, it's too bad that this will likely never happen. It's doubtful that the majority of the population will understand the concept of respect any time soon. I've just come to accept the fact that most people generally don't give a good damn about other people or their feelings.

I agree, it's really not easy to please yourself.
I know I'm not 100% pleased with myself, and I will probably never be, I'm human, y'know?
But I love myself, and I think that counts for something. :3
I always hope others will find self-confidence within themselves.

    I know. D:
It's sad really, but I doubt things will change anytime soon, actually, I don't think it will honestly ever fully change.
